Welcome to my blog – Dotted Line! I want to briefly share my “why” for writing and “why” you may be interested in reading. A little over a year ago, I found myself without a job and really without a purpose. My “why” was wrapped up in my career and who I was within that career. The experience initially was equal parts infuriating and devastating – I was lost and I was grieving. I believe that when we are dealt a life-changing blow that there has to be a life-changing opportunity ahead. And I didn’t want to miss that opportunity because I was too busy being angry or hurt or bitter. I also didn’t want to miss the time that I had been given…the time to just be….to sit and be quiet…to dig deep….to listen…..to learn…..the time for growth and self-discovery. I wanted to use my time wisely. Did I sit and stare….of course. Did I cry…..of course. Did I learn and grow….YES! And I still am. And as I began this new journey, I began to journal. With this blog, I am able to share my love for writing that I discarded so many years ago as well as some of the life lessons I have gathered along the way. If you are interested in learning more about yourself, leaning into the hard moments, and connecting the dots of your life, this blog is for you!
